This is true. I'm planning on picking up as well.

Did you get a quote on any kind of stand? I was planning on building my own, but I've also considered one of their powder coated stands as a base.

Personally, I think buying a stand is a waste of money. If you know what you're doing or know someone that knows what they are doing, you can pay A LOT less. Plus I have a civic and couldn't fit a stand and tank in it :)

a friend of mine had 2 60 gallon starphire cubes made from them and they were 1500 each....there tanks are perfect..even the glass top for the tanks were perfect....beautiful cuts and great craftsmanship.....really take pride in there work.....might be a little bit more than others but well worth it.....

I thought so too, but they give you the 10 year warranty if it's on one of their stands, so I figured a metal stand that I could build around might not be a bad idea.

I had to re-read the last sentence, The first time I read it I imagined you having the tank all set up on the back seat of your Civic.

The cabinetry/stand portion of the quote that I received was more $ than the tank itself, by a significant amount. Part of that was probably tied up in the hood/canopy thing that I wouldn't want and would remove from the order, whenever I move forward, but yeah. Their stands clearly go for big $ as well.

That being said, nice furniture usually isn't cheap anywhere. IE - Ikea = junk etc. I'm curious if anyone here can speak to the quality of CTC's carpentry and finishing etc. It's obvious that their tank building is top of the class, curious what their stands look like. They had sent me a couple different designs and were open to discussing the various details (wood species, finish etc)

C2C is def one of...... If not the best custom tank Builders out there . And they sell to the public which is cool so you don't have to go through anyone

It's funny when everyone talks about cost being high Because as someone else said you spend a enormous amount of money on everything else$$$$$. Why would you get cheap on the most important part of the whole project?

It's even funnier when guys buy used because they save a few bucks on a old tank and if that ol tank blows in the middle of your house then what did u really save?
Anyway I Think C2C is worth paying extra for the tank.....as far as cabinets , Canopys, deliveries ect . You can save $$$$ a lot in that area doing it yourself

I had a custom 100 gallon tank built by c2c and all I can say is amazing! If you considering a custom tank I say go with c2c.
You can see the tank in tank threads -- our slow and steady build

A slight bit of sarcasm above. But seriously, are you kidding me?

I have no problem with mistakes being made and am always willing to listen and come up with a solution. I am reasonable.

The problem is that C2C will not pick up the phone, return a voicemail or email and its been 5 WEEKS! They refuse to even discuss my concern regarding the quality and construction of this aquarium.

This was my first C2C purchase. I chose them because they were "the best". That is what I expected. I thought I would be receiving the best quality aquarium available in the US.

As you can see from the few pictures above, what was delivered is far from "the best".

Next time, I think i'll go with Glass Cages and spend the $2300 I'll have saved on coral.

only mark from the manufacturer was on the crate and invoice. there is nothing engraved on the glass or overflow that I can see and no decals etc either.

do other c2c aquarium have etched in logos? if so can you post a reference pic so i know what to look for?

maybe the engraving was left off this one...cant imagine why

I am looking at the tank...no etching to be seen.

CC complaint good idea...oh yeah, they only take checks lol...they are PROs at this.

Ouch! that sucks! That is screw up, i'll stay away from tank manufacture who do this from now on. Well, I'm sure of couple post like this on R.C. and other site would bring them some nice attentions, maybe then they will talk then. Best of Luck! I hope you get your money back or at least a quality replacement.

No etching on my 75g C2C tank. Only a sticker or gigantic P-Touch label with my name on the bottom glass (exterior side). My silicone work is immaculate. Not sure what's up with C2C nowadays, it's been 5 years since I bought my tank from them.

Holy crap! I was considering them for a custom tank I need that is going to cost at least 4x what you paid but having seen this very reluctant. I am however going to point this out to them which hopefully will help them take your claim seriously. Not gonna spend over $16k with a company that treats customers dreams like that :(

On rimless aquariums "Coast to Coast" normally has a aqua blue and white signature label on the wood that they glue to the bottom pane of glass. I believe I can see it in one of your pictures. The bottom pane, towards the right front side. I've worked on at least a dozen of their tanks from 20 gallon to 1000 gallon and I have never saw any with craftsmanship that bad. Hope you get this sorted out!
