as you can see in the first picture thats from june, and the other one is from october. you can tell the one branch is the only branch that is really growing. and its grown pretty tall. any science behind the fact that only the one branch is growing? i also have a purple slimmer that is doing the same thing. should i cut it?

its not that far from the light, so its not like its getting insufficent lighting. and the flow is all around that coral even the bottom polyps move without an issue? and no new branches off of it, for atleast 3 months. but i guess will see.

I've seen this happen with some of my frags and frags in friends tanks. Not sure why it happens, but one easy way to get growth else is to mess up the growing tip on the branch that is growing. Most, if not all of the time, this will force the rest of it to start growing.

yea i want to leave it alone, i mean it looks awesome i just want the other branches to branch out more. its not a big deal to me i was just curious if there was any reason or science behind a coral doing that. because i have one akwardly long branch on my purple slimmer as well.
