Today is a very sad day. I lost my oldest and favorite fish. I've had my PBT for 4 years. Big, fat, healthy, and a model citizen since day one. Hands down my favorite fish.

The last week or so, he all of a sudden started swimming eratically. He appeared fine outwardly, but occassionally would race around the tank at blinding speed. I guess he injured himself during one of these outbursts, because the other day, his lips were all cut up. Last night, I saw him smash into the side of the tank. This morning, he was gone. Still don't know what was wrong (so didn't know how/what to treat). Just tried to keep feeding.

He'll be missed.

My condolences. Had a similar experience with a 3 yr old pbt. seems they hurt themselves when stress out maybe. it still reminds me everytime i c another pbt.:sigh: :sad2:

my regards to a beautiful fish and his friend..... poor thing.. i had mine for about a month so far and hes such a great fish... he dont bother any of my other tangs... he just swims with them... awesome fish.. r u getting another...
