I have this friend who kept forgetting to turn off the water while filling containers with RO/DI. Maybe you know someone like this ?
the problem was solved with a simple and cheap kent float valve.
installing it was easy. just drill a 1/2" hole in the container of your choice. put the connector through and screw on the holding nut. the 1/4" tubing is held in place by a plastic compression nut.
don't forget to use some teflon tape for the connector.
there is a dial to adjust the height of the valve.
