How do I remove yellow polyp infestation

I had some yellow polyp frags that are very invasive. They are on my large rocks and I would like to them to be gone.

Will aptasia killer kill them and is that dangerous for the rest of my reef

yes aptasia-x will kill them. Also kalk paste, lemon juice and possibly peroxide. Turn off your pumps and then inject them. If you do it when the lights are off and the other corals are closed up it will reduce the chance of harming the other corals.

Sometimes just scrubbing them with an old toothbrush will kill them. But it may also spread them as well, so be careful.

Be careful with scrubbing the rocks and using hot water, some polyps can be poisonous.

Yellow polyp's (Parazoanthus gracilis) IMO are as bad as Aiptasia . They tend to spread by growing in the rocks rather than over them. I am not sure what other corals you have but a Klein Butterfly will wipe them out or any pest anemone killer should work

If you do that, i would plan ahead and think of corals to place in the holes that you are cutting....you can cut to shape/size when removing yellow polyps.

Those are great ideas. I have a face shield I am gonna wear when I cut them. Amd I am deff gonna make pilot holes for plugs

Why not get an aggressive coral like a galaxia and place it next to the palys. It will take them out in no time

I just got a glaxia frag. I will put them close tomorrow.

Get an ole evil anemone, it will sting them to death. I put an anemone next to my gsp, and I only have a little patch left.

He has developed a taste for them.. I had a rock full of them and in less than a week the rock is almost empty

Just take the rock out of the water for a day.
Scrub it off and place it back in the tank.
