Yep, carnation, softy, too much light for it. It should be on low light that's where they thrive.

Yeah, upside down. Many times in the wild, this is the way they grow. One reason to have them upside down is that when they inflate, they will topple over.
They don't need light to grow, therefore needs to be fed, as previously stated.

Everytime i go diving, i see them upside down in swim through and over hang. Not sure what to feed them..good luck with your new coral
