starting to get a little pissed

so today me and my girl went to max reef to get some R/O water and a few corals and what not.
So stupid me i always forget to bring juggs.... DUHH blinking "sign" (idiot!)
so i asked the guy to get me some r/o water in these 2 juggs that were empty. not thinking anything was going to be wrong with them.

so we get home and we do a water change. and start putting them into the tank. now the water is starting to get cloudy, now im like WTF is going on..
i think there was something in those juggs. but i forgot to ask him to rinse them.

and now 3 hours later water still cloudy and our water was clear as a whistle i hope nothing bad was in those juggs going to be really upset.

can this be bad R/O water do you guys think? has this happend to anyone else at any LFS?

go get a brs unit its like 150$ for 5 stage dual tds,75 gal a day comes with faucet adapter and everything.cant go wrong

Many possibilities, i am hoping its only salt residue, many commercial size products come in those jugs. Including treatments like prime, and other chemicals.

i just hope there wasn't anything wrong with that water. or something in that jugg. but i don't see how there could a been anything in that jug it was one of the sea water juggs. maybe bad water? or something.

itt was the cribasea water juggs. i asked if he had 2 of them to spare cause i go to another store to get my water. but i wanted to go to max for some coral with my girl. and i forgot my juggs. i just hope it wasn't anything bad in those jugs. soo far everything is open and well so I'm trying to think so many different things of what it could be.

i dident mix any salt. i only went to get r/o water. to top off the tank.

no they were the juggs of cribasea water. the 13$ premix sea water. but it was empty and i asked for r/o water.

wasn't a sketchy metal jug lmao.

That's crazy. Sorry to hear that. I have been there once and thought it was a great place. The prices are the best around. Calling ahead I wanted ro water once and was told it was a buck a gallon! That's crazy! I go to Manhattan Aquariums with 8 5 gallon jugs and its 20.00! I will purchase my own ro/di soon as lugging water is back breaking!
If you need jugs let me know bro I save my Poland spring bottles pre sandy so no gas residue! I got like 8 or 10 of em!

@troywalkerphoto--i have juggs. max reef is a great place i love them and always go there. i just don't no why the hell the rodi water i got from them was really cloudy. i just hope there was nothing wrong with the water. im going to do test tomorrow.

@thirty6-- tank is doing really well. my girlfriend is really good at keeping track of the water PAR's and all that fun stuff im not to good with it. shes the awesome one. lol

How much water did you need for 'top off'? Sounds like you added a lot to make the tank cloudy! Waiting too long increases your salinity
