wow you guys really know how to put somebody down. 300 wasn't that bad for that and 250 is even better, I don't see anyone really selling tanks for that price or cheaper on here often especially rimless most of the time they are more. Let the guy buy his tank and be happy jeez.

I am confused by something you said you don't want a sump then what is the overflow box for?

It's not only the tank but the stand too, so you need to take that into consideration on the price. As for the over flow box, I had one on my tank for over 20 years without a problem, as even if it lost the siphon it never lost it completely, so it wouldn't overflow and cause a flood.

Glass tops are not a benefit...limits gas exchange. But it sounds like the package is right for you. Enjoy.

I don't plan on using a sump on this tank, and if I decide to down the road I have my trusty old lifereef overflow box.

Thanks for the advice but I've had tanks with both glass tops and open top and didn't notice a difference on the inhabitants. What I did notice is the tanks with the glass tops didn't require as much top off as the open did.

I will definitely enjoy this tank!

Evaporation is a good thing. (Unless it runs pumps dry). Even though you didn't notice much of a difference in the past, it does not mean it won't/can't affect a different tank. Every setup is different. The gas/air exchange is going to be different depending on exposure area (footprint).
As far as price, if its what you want, then it's worth it.
