Acclimated via 5ml of tank water into bag every 15 minutes for an hour and change:

it took me 3 months and 2 weeks to put fish into this tank and im thrilled as to how it came out. if i could change anything, it would be the blue paint, i would have def gone Black... owell. Lessons learned for my 40g project for next summer =)

looks like your gonna need a small tang for that hair algae i see.

Small tang in a 29g? yea thats not gonna happen LOL.

it was alot worse before when i was using tap water with a conditioner... its slowly dying out since i connected the skimmer and been using RO water. im sure it will die out when i swap out the filters and set up my fuge

+1 thats what my girlfriend is doing she got a 1.5-2" yellow tank for some mess that needs to be cleaned up. shes doing a good job. we will switch him when he gets too big in the 65G.

Lol I think my 58G is too small for a tang but I might get a 1.5" one and then try to convince myself I need an upgrade!

IMO/E it's never a good idea to put a fish in that your not planning on keeping In there.
Big headache to get out and your not solving the algae problem your just putting a bandage on it. I switched my RODI filters and ALL hair algae was gone in 2 weeks.

Yea I spotted algae in my RODI, I'll prob have to switch it all out.

we dont have hair algae its a different type of algae that's being a PITA.

Yea dude, im waitin gofr next pay check to swap out the filters though. it takes 2.5 hours to fill a 5g container, no way thats right lol

75 gpd and its more like 4 hours sorry lol

thats maybe why it takes so long. But 4hours for 5G is not good i dont think lol. does not add up. Where did you get your unit from? BRS? cause some Ebay units are a hunk of junk sometimes.

Also dontfroget to get a good TDS meter to make sure your R/O water is testing at .0 - .01 you dont want a high TDS reading or that means your r/o unit or filters are no good.

Wow I never ran it for long but it def shouldn't take that long. If you're having issues with it after you swap the filters let me know.
