t gallo- very nice work! Looks great. I am in the process of setting up my 180 again (I just moved) and am building it into a wall in the basement. Couple of questions:

1. How tall is the stand?
2. How much room did you leave behind the tank?
3. How did you do the molding around the tank? In my design, the tank sits on the stand and the drywall is laid on the front of the stand so that the glass of the tank is actually 3/4" inset from the drywall. Could you give me a photo closeup of the molding and how it mates the drywall to the tank?

Thanks in advance,

Ernie

Well, if it was anything like mine, it will take about 9 days to clear up with the skimmer working at full throtle.

I was going to suggest something earlier, but kept forgetting. If you e-mail Frank at Eurofoamer, he can make you an extension middle piece to make your skimmer a bit taller. The way it is Iam sure could handle the bioload, but a bit higher of a contact chamber will make it much more efficient. He is going to do this for mine eventually.

I am sure you are going to put in a durso stand pipe. I did it to mine and you can't hear any water whatsoever. Before, it was the Niagara at home. You could hear the water moving 3 floors up in the house. Actually, that is how I discovered the mini flood a few months back.

um where the heck are the pics or am i blind?

The pics should be viewable once you're logged in. I hear that some Mac browsers sometimes has problems displaying permissible attachments, but I do not have first hand experience with this. But if you're loged in on a Windows machine, you should be able to see the images. Let me know if still can't.

Great work, Tony! Nice new addition too ;)

hey alberto, actually i dont need a durso, i have one center overflow with a 2'' drain and directly below it is a valve inwich i can raise the water level in the overflow compartment , wich inturn makes for a really quiet overflow even at 3000 gallons an hour.
