I am looking for the following:

Oceanic 120g 4x2x2 Reef Ready x/ low iron glass
Stand
Hood (no strip lighting needed)
Canopy

I heard from someone that AGA purchased Oceanic and has discontinued this tank. Is that correct?

If it is still available, can anyone recommend a good place to get it that will deliver to Manhattan?

Thanks!

Josh...check out the Oceanic Tech Series tank. They offer a 120 gallon with starphire front, dual center overflow, and eurobracing.

AGA bought out oceanic a long time ago and has and still is continuing the line. The two lines have actually undergone a revamp and AGA is now Aqueon and oceanic has kept it's name. Both will feature much higher quality construction. Aqueon will remain the cheaper of the two and oceanic will feature stands with built in wiring and even "rhino lining" all over the inside as well as new furniture types. I saw it a few months back at a big tradeshow in AC and the new stuff looks very nice. Oceanic will also feature starphire on all their tanks now as the norm not a special order. We are still waiting on the new pricing from oceanic since they just started production again after shutting down their old factory to move to the new one.

I have this tank. The tank itself is absolutely awesome, but the stand leaves a bit to be desired. I have mine on carpet and after it was set up for a while it settled. The base of the stand began to develop hairline cracks and the front glass doors became difficult to close. The top of the stand is a nice table top design with cut-outs for the bulkheads. The back is closed with holes cut for a small fan and the electrical cords for pumps etc. I understand the appeal of the 2 side glass doors, but I think they are the root of the settling problem. The tank would be better off eliminating the side doors, replacing them with some load-bearing wood and remove the center brace pillar in the front so the front doors would be more "euro style". It would make it easy to put a sump in and do maintainance. It would also make for a quieter tank.

One last thing about those glass doors......they break....as in totally shatter. I dropped a screwdriver and the metal part hit the top edged of the open door. Because it's tempered glass instead of cracking, it shattered it into a million little cubes.
