One big piece of rock today.. I rinsed it in ro and slam.. Right in.. Not a problem for systems bigger than 200 gal...

a big piece of rock can hold a ton of Po4, you really should :chef: all the rock first. cooking is the recommended thing to do.

Thanks alot guys but I'm hard headed and been doing this for a while.... And oh yeah Natureef denitrifier baby....If the Po4 does go up, I'll just tweek the phosphagone and WAH LAH problem solved...lol

Phosphagone is the phosphate option on the denitrifier... I'm not sure what the liquid actually is but the nitragone is methanol..

i don't care how long u been doing it it's pretty ballsy/crazy to throw a bunch of dead rock thats full of decayed crap into your system like that. Good luck keeping those sps frags happy.

I just helped a friend start a system w/ nothing but Marco rocks and his ammonia was off the charts for the first couple weeks. Good luck

It's not always ballsy or crazy it's another word you forgot experience...lol
It was only one piece... I'll be fine my system can handle a little ammonia and Po4...
P.S. This isn't the first time I threw a piece of uncycled rock in my system... I could see if I threw 60 lbs. in then maybe...And oh yeah the color on my colonies and frag's are still awesome...

That order is our economy rock and is still $1.50/ pound
I did add some text to make that more clear.
I think maybe the part that wasn't clear is that it said nothing
except min order 10 QTY___
I thought it safe to assume all rock is ordered in pounds.
