Thanks for all the positive feedback - I don't have more underwater shots that are worth looking at, unfortunately. I need either a better camera, or to be diving instead of snorkling....

I'm planning to go back next year, though, so you'll see more pics eventually....

My total sadness is that all the pics I got of the orange-shoulder tangs and moorish idols are half-fish shots - the shutter-speed of the camera was no match for the swimming-speed of the fish :(

does it count that I submerged a good 8 feet a few times to follow the moorish idol i desperately wanted to photograph?

...becuase of my concussion my doctor STRONGLY suggested I dive the NEXT time I go to Hawaii....

:(

It sucked not to dive, but better safe than dead, you know?

Who would go to Hawaii to see people?--there are millions of them in NY :lol2:

Ummm Chris the people in NY don't wear string bikini's all the time (and of those that do, 85% of them shouldn't) in Hawaii there is a 95% approval rate of string bikini wearers :lol2:

a) i'm not really so excited by wearers of string bikinis, sorry chief

b) i don't even think i saw a single string-bikini-wearer

c) the people in Hawaii are happier than the people in NY, but they, too, do not like to be photographed by strangers....

d) the people shots i ~did~ take are not for YOU ALL ;)

Thank you, Josh, for explaining decompression sickness brought on by flight after diving.

...perhaps had I spent any time on Waikiki beach in the day time I would have seen such things as you would like to see... but alas, I did not. I was more interested in the fish, corals and inverts. AREN'T YOU???
