I think I read that Aminos don't actually contain that many phosphates. I'm jogging my memory from a post that Randy Holmes replied to mine.. sorry, hate to be vague...
I tried to get before pics by cropping larger shots to the specific corals but that didn't work out so well. Here are new shots of a few corals that are still faded in color. I will post the same pics with the same camera settings in a couple of weeks.
Rich,
Any aminos will darken coral tissue. i use Elos and they are the best! Very concentrated and i only dose 3 drops a week.
Red table looks great!!!
hey rich is that mikes red table? if it is i ran into the faded color also i started dosing the amino from brightwell about 3 weeks ago. and color is starting to darken up i thought i was killing it lol. i will take a pic
hey rich here is mine after 3 weeks of the amino dont mind the tips i burnt them my light fell down and was 2 inches above the tank for 3 days. i might clip them off
rich on a tank ur size 1 drop at most, dont seem like crap, but when i was doin vodka and sps mine started to lighten in color, { never have believed the whole sps pastel because of t5's } t5's are pretty much all i have ever used and done mainly sps. i use the korallen zutch amino's, but been thinking of ordering vitimen c , good thread on Rc about it in the lps section
I don't know if I'm going to continue using this stuff. I am getting serious cyano on my sandbed. That is a problem I haven't had much at all in the past. I think it's time to do a WC and run a little phosban. So my corals will be pastel ...........
So I have still been using this suiff just at a reduced dosage. I don't know if I see a change, maybe a little It's been over 3 weeks now. You decide. Same camera settings.
Here are pics of the same corals from today (1 pic missing because I moved that coral)
