Stocking help! 24 gallon stock aquapod!

hey guys i'm looking for stocking suggestions!
Currently i have a pair of clownfish in there, and cuc (herms, minthrax, snails)
I'm looking for odd behaviour, awesome color, hardy and reef safe!

Pics of suggestions would be great!

If the tank is established(1 year+), I would suggest a Mandarin. A Goby or 2. Maybe an Angler. Good luck!!!

Just read your other thread-go for the Mandarin for now, if the tanks has lots of pods you should be good to go.

i was thinking it, but they say a mandarin would clean out my copepods quick!
i do have afuge, but i dunno if it would be big enough for it.
ANgler is very cool, but wouldnt it eat my clowns?
or just about anything?

I would NOT recommend a mandarin for that size tank. You would not be able to keep up with the supply of pods it will need to survive.

Yellow Watchman/Pistol Shrimp is a cool combo and should be fine for that size tank. Do you have a lot of sand? twin spot gobies look cool too.

Don't try any mandarins or sand sifting gobies they just will not work in that small tank. I know because I had one.
Fish I have now: Blue chromis, Pajama cardinal, Neon Goby, Firefish Goby, Green Clown Goby, Tiger Goby. I did have a Royal Gramma but he got too bossy so I got rid of him. I also had a Chalk Bass but he died.
I use a glass top and have T5's. The standard cover is nicer looking but you are limited in the corals you can keep.

I would advise against a PJ cardinal, they tend to get pretty large. There's a whole mess of interesting fish you can keep ethically in a nano (don't go throwing a Niger Trigger in there now...) A lot of of gobies and blennies can be kept in small tanks and have really entertaining personalities (do you research though, there are several these fish will nip corals.)

+1 on the yellow watchman though, love em!

Flex it will eat anything you put in there as you said..firefish are cool get 1 of those or even a few they are a schooling fish watchman gobies are definitely cool and fun to watch

I wouldnt do more than three or four small fish in that tank. Since you already have the clowns (im assuming theyre occilarus or percs) Id say the following would be ok: a pair of neon gobies (cool little fish that eat parasites) and a cleaner shrimp. A rainfords or jester goby and cleaner shrimp. A filimented wrasse or any other flasher wrasse would be cool. a purple or regular firefish (not both). a strawberry dottyback would be a pretty and cheap addition. the goby/shrimp combo you mentioned is cool. a sixline wrasse would help control pests like flatworms. black cap basslets or arabian dottybacks are nice but ud need to avoid small shrimp/crabs. theres some raelly pretty clown gobies that are interesting and you could keep a pair of. a Bangaii Cardinal would do well and they dont jump or hide.

you actually have a lot of options, the problem is you should only pick one. In a small tank like that its a fine line before you start running into problems from over stocking. If it were me I would prolly just stick with the clowns and see if you can get them to spawn, personally I would find that more interesting/rewarding than adding another fish. jmho

can't lie, i think those neon gobies are pretty cool!
I'm really looking for personality, and community. That's why the watchman goby and pistol shrimp intrigue me.
I have the clowns now, but i can't have a nem with the stock lighting =(

Yellow tail blennies are awesome. I have on in my tank and he is hilarious. He hides in his hole with just his head popping out. If you look fast you miss him but when he comes out it's this bright yellow tail. Everyone loves him when they look at my tank.

I say you add them slowly to see how well YOU do with the water changes...
If you or your system cant handle and maintain a safe environment, even one fish would be fatal....
