What would u want? At a Lfs

I was wondering when I go to a local fish store they never have what I'm looking for each store has different stuff either equipment or not enough different fishes. So back to my question what would u want to be at your local pet store u can be specific or not.

What I would like to see are more inverts alot of Lfs around me have bad choices in stock.

So I'm just wondering what everyone else would like to c more of or less of.

I would say Manhattan Aquariums does a pretty great job of having what I want with both dry goods and livestock. They are hobbyist-orientated but what allows them to do that is they have an aquarium maintenance that consistently pays the bills. This is a recipe that works for them because they are in Manhattan. I am pretty sure the same approach would fail in most other places.

More selection on little things like thermometers and filter socks- meaning actually keeping them in stock and on the shelves.

Go check out Absolutely fish if you want all the stuff mentioned above, The only thing they really lack is a huge frag assortment but they sell tons of colonies. And the fish/invert selection is by far the largest I have seen in any LFS. They always have at least a dozen rare/hard to find fish.

Where is that absolute fish? And didn't there used to be a forum of all Lfs n reviews n locations I can't seem to find that.

It is in Clifton NJ on route 46, Last time I was there they had 2 black tangs in there, Various triggers that you never see, some larger angels but they were 1500 and up.

Ya, I like Absolutely fish too. They have a pretty nice selection. And Frags-unlimited is right around the corner, so you can do some one stop shopping.

Wheres frags-unlimited? I've been to AF a few times but I've never seen f-u (wonder if that'll clear the sensors) I love AF selection but their colony prices are too much for me.

Dynamictank, I hope you aren't considering using your screen name as the business name since there is already a Dynamic Tank Designs and you definitely do NOT want to be associated with them. Best to separate yourself from a business like that if you are looking to go high end.
