After the second dose, I didn't find it necessary to do a third. As most of the guys who have treated their tanks for red bugs have done the same.

If you keep SPS you will most likely be treating your tank once or twice a year.

They look like tiny red dots..as small as a period at the end of a sentence...or slightly smaller and you can usually see them crawling around acros. They don't affect any other sps except acros.

They look like mites that you would find on birds or small mammals...

thanks guys. I dont think I have them. I was concerned because I lost the only acro I had, a sunset monti and a rainbow monti all in about a week. They were all located in the same area. I did have a big drop in ca which is what I have attributed this to. I have other sps in the tank and I will keep an eye out for these little critters.

They only live on smooth skin acroporas, they will not touch montiporas.
