There are a few that are called "orange spot" is it the diamond goby ur talking about or the shrimp goby? Those are the 2 most common. The diamond is an awesome sifter and gets pretty big the shrimp goby just digs a small burrow and is a character.
if your looking for sand sifting try and find the one i had its all white with a blue neon mark on both sides of his face... all he did was sift the sand..
That is an orange spot shrimp goby I had one for awhile and recently it disappeared. Cool fish, kept mostly to himself until the engineer gobies exercised eminent domain on his burrow and evicted him. Haven't seen him since a week after that.
what's up phil, how's it going?? i had one of those (jumped) and it always kept the sand nice and clean....but at the price of a not so clear water column.my friend leo also has one and the guy never stops working....another drawback is that they sometimes dump sand on corals living on the sandbed, when i say dump i mean cover them up completely. they also dig under your rocks so make sure they're stable enough, and all that digging leaves you with mounds of sand everywhere (pretty uneven terrain).
