I checked some web sites for the specs. of the fish, but I'm looking for advice if anyone had experience with them.

Do they only sift sand or do they create sand storms?
Any problems with inverts?

Thanks~

There are a few that are called "orange spot" is it the diamond goby ur talking about or the shrimp goby? Those are the 2 most common. The diamond is an awesome sifter and gets pretty big the shrimp goby just digs a small burrow and is a character.

That is an orange spot shrimp goby I had one for awhile and recently it disappeared. Cool fish, kept mostly to himself until the engineer gobies exercised eminent domain on his burrow and evicted him. Haven't seen him since a week after that.

Well.....
I did another impulse buy:happysad:

This one was just sifting sand everywhere he went (@ the store).
Just want to make sure he doesn't make storms like those damn engineer gobies.

Some links also said that they may be a threat to smaller inverts.
Just wondering what kind.:scratchch

Want to make sure before I put him in the tank.

BTW...by the looks of it now.....these are JUMPERS!

what's up phil, how's it going?? i had one of those (jumped) and it always kept the sand nice and clean....but at the price of a not so clear water column.my friend leo also has one and the guy never stops working....another drawback is that they sometimes dump sand on corals living on the sandbed, when i say dump i mean cover them up completely. they also dig under your rocks so make sure they're stable enough, and all that digging leaves you with mounds of sand everywhere (pretty uneven terrain).
