i would drain that tank. i thought 100g was the biggest rimless made, because bigger would require center brace. i take chances but thats pushing it. like mentioned that may of not been designed to hold water or it would have a top rim with center brace or euro bracing with center brace.

I would panic, but thats because I wouldn't know what to do or how to fix it. I would probably opt for a new tank, but I know that can be very costly. With all the great advise you have and now that you have a plan of action, I don't think you should panic...much. And fortunately you have the spare tanks to hold your livestock while you work on a fix.
I have no idea how to go about fixing something like this. I would suppose it would not only require outer braces, but also center braces, and some type of clams to squeeze the glass back to the right width
All of this sounds kinda scary. Whichever route you go, best of luck!

Please empty it out. Seeing the baby stuff in the background is making me panicky. Just buy a new tank dont rig it.

Can't tell from the pics, but that tank looks like someone took the top trim off. Look into ordering a top frame for it. But empty it for now, definitely.

Yup! Drain it, that's too long of a tank to be rimless. Does it atleast have glass brace on top portion. I build these kinda tanks.. Dimensions are very sensitive for all rimless tanks.. What's the thickness?

I have a 72"x24"x24" half inch thick glass tank that have no cross braces but in order to be able to do this, the tank had to be "euro braced" on the top and bottom of the tank.
If a "rimless" 180g tank is possible, it should be at least 3/4" glass if not 1".

Yes! the tank was drained halfway - as advised. Some corals are now waiting on my 55gal. Worked on this last night until 1am. Pain in a neck but I LOVE this hobby!
I'm going to eurobrace option. Already contacted some local glass suppliers. Anyone can point me to someone? much appreciated.
Also, tried to contact some aquarium manufacturer if they can just sell me the top frame. No response yet. I could go to this option too.

One thing to keep in mind. With the bow in the glass a brace won't just fit over anymore most likely.
You can straighten those panels but its a delicate, time consuming task.

hey guys the bowing isnt that bad. Get a clamp from home depot and put it on the tank for a few days to even out bowing. Then proceed with framing.
I wouldn't recommend putting a clamp directly on the glass... Maybe on some 1"x2" strips to 'spread' the pressure

If you want to straighten the glass, here's what you do:
1) buy 2 pieces of 1X4 one for the front one for the rear that at straight with no bows- that will show you exactly how much the glass has bowed.
2) buy a bunch of those large hand clamps to spread them evenly across
3) put just a little pressure on the one where the bows are and just enough on the rest of them to keep the wood straight
4) each day check the pressure on the clamp on the bow and tighten it just a hair each few days.
5) once you get it to where the wood is flat against the whole length of the panels you're ready for the new bracing- whether it be a frame of euro bracing.
