Top notch workmanship! Looks amazing, the starfish handles give it a nice touch as well. Everything looks so neat.

One thing though, watch the hardware holding up the lights, in due time they will rust out. Is that aluminum holding up the eggcrate? Reason i point that out is that all the screws and such in my canopy have started to rust, just a heads up.

Would love to see it when it's 100% complete. Nice Job!

that is a work of art if ever i saw one. awesome detail

btw how about using plastic zipties from the fixture to the rail. the only problem i see is getting all the zipties the same length when you pull on them

Great set up, the stand and canopy looks awesome, did you built those your self?

What kind of pendent are those? You must got a really great deal on all those MRC equipment:lol2:.

The stand skin and canopy were made by a family friend.. And i stained finished it my self..
The pendents are Sunlight Supply Lumen Max 3 With 250w Phoneix Bulbs and Icecap ballast..
It was just easier to get all in one place... And they do awesome work...

You need to get out and see more of other people's work, they do terrible work.. I had to glue one of their skimmer and a collection container together few weeks ago, what a piece of junk..

OK seems good at the moment... Ran it for like 2 hours last weekend in a closed loop... No leaks.. but thanks for the heads up.

Good question Cali. Maybe this is the first year, so we shall find out soon. Hasn't really been freezing weather. And being that's it's saltwater and it's moving, i would imagine that it takes longer. Maybe there's a heated mat in there.

Setup is coming along nicely.

No i have always run a kalk reactor and calcium reactor out here, just smaller units..The cabinet has a 25w bulb that turns on when outdoor temps drop below 35 degrees. So that keeps all in cabinet safe, plus calcium reactor feed pump and circulation pump provide some heat as well. As far as water lines they too are heated with pipe tape.. Which actives also at 35 degree outside temp, and increases heat as hep drops.. All pipes are insulated as well... I have run this setup for 6 years now and have had only one freeze up at 8 degrees the first year.. I have fix it so it does not happen again... The chiller lines are insulated as well but not heat tape, as there always flowing... and main pump is on battery backup..
