PREST O SALES AND SERVICE will fill your tank on the spot as long as the tank does not need to be tested. There is a date stamp on the tank the last time it was tested. Located at 40-14 19th Ave, Astoria, NY 11105. Phone # 718 721-8100. Not sure how long it take to test the tank.

Places that service fire extinguisher would probably do it and it usually takes on day for the hydro testing. Good luck! I had my tested in NJ "Fire approved protection".

btw, my is an aluminum tank and they filled my tank after they test the tank. total cost around $30-$35

No... It's called hydro-static testing. The reason that they do tests on tanks are because they want to see how the tank is holding up. They fill the tank with compressed air or co2 and see how much it expands by checking water displacement. If the tank stays within a certain flex amount, they re-certify the tank for X amount of years.
Any compressed air tank whether steel or fiber wrapped needs to be tested every 3-5 years if over IIRC 3" diameter.
Certain tanks do not need this as they stay under a certain size and are less prone to flexing.
There is no "bubbles" recorded in the test.

Try contacting Byrne Compressed (or something along those lines) I know that they do testing for fire extinguishers. So they can probably get the testing done for you. I will say that it will not be a couple of hours worth. The only place I know that you can do that is in Maryland. You can drop off then pick up later in the evening.
I actually have to get two of my paintball tanks tested.
