hey all, im looking to go somewhere in NYC for valentines day. Does anyone have any good experiences with places in NYC that you would refer me to check out?

I dont want to blow my whole paycheck but i dont mind dishing out money for a good meal.

anyways i know most places add a special menu for that day and 90% of the time the food isn't as good as normal days.

any suggestions?
thanks for the help.

I assume you want something romantic?

One if By Land Two if by Sea

Definitely the most romantic restaurant in the city.

If you want something a little snazzier, Eleven Madison Park is great for Valentine's day.

Both of those are a little bit expensive.

For something more reasonable, Knickerbockers is always reliable and is really warm and inviting. In fact, on Valentine's day they may have the live jazz band playing which is nice.

Villa Barrone in the bronx is great as well. It's right by Pelham Bay Park.

Steak houses are more a guy thing. Unless your girl likes steaks then go for it.

Blue Water Grill in Union Square has never done me wrong.
Also, Ocean behind the Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side is great to. Same owners.
