Did they just amend the rule a few meetings back? Does it take place immediately or is it next year's set of rules. My worries aren't in regard to ricordea. But if they have stopped the 1" rule for everything than I will need change the request I am making for my collecting permit.
BTW, what is going on with the lack of peppermints coming out of Haiti?
JT trust me they don't go deeper, the crab season is just over. Once the stone crab traps are back in the water the flow of peppermints will pick back up. This time of year you can only get domestic shrimp from the west coast of Florida, the bait shrimp guys get them. But the people that handle them over there are really rough on them and only a few of the boats have a lisense to collect them. This time of year is the best time of the year for me to get the shrimp from Haiti because all the wholesalers buy the more expensive shrimp (it a better shrimp than the ones from the west coast) from Bob. But for some reason the supply has been very slow up my way.
