I second the autotopoff.com recommendation. For added fault tolerance, order two float switches and wire them in series. If one fail, the second will cut power to your pump!

I just got a TDS meter, and my Kent HiS R/O output is already up to 25ppm? It's only a couple of months old? My tap water is around 95ppm. Is it time to change the sediment and carbon filter already, or is something else wrong? Shouldn't it be much closer to 0ppm?

My three year old knocked over a bucket with about 2 gallons of kalk water. It went all over the carpeting. Two questions: What harm will this do to my carpeting, and what harm will this do to my three year old?

Is it ok to add kalk to a batch of new RO water(with salt added) to be used for a water change? I'm already dripping all the time, but wouldn't it be good to boost the Calcium in the water I use for the water change? Or is the Instant Ocean salt I use high enough in calcium already?

Nope, no trails, or lines. I would think I would see some in the sand that's against the glass. If I do pick one off from somewhere, and drop it on the sand, it does dig in, and disappear.
