I will see if I can get a better picture today. I already have one green frilly nudibranch in the tank and it doesn't really look like this thing. The nudibranch is about half its size and this thing has spikes on it not frills. But I could be wrong maybe it is a nudibranch just different...
I started a refugium on my tank a couple months ago. A couple weeks ago I noticed this green thing in the refugium now today I see that he some how got in side my main tank. He doesn't seem to be hurting any thing but I would like to know what it is and if I should be worried at all. Any ideas...
Update: I put the yellow leather in a spot of high current and removed the dead pieces with forceps. Sure enough a week later it has almost completely recovered. There is new growth were the tips died off and the polyps are now starting the extend. Thanks for the help.
I just reached in and blew some of the slim off and peace of the coral just fell off. Now I think it is starting to die. I didn't realize it was in this bad of shape before now. Is there anything I can do to save it? Should I frag it and if so how do I go about doing it? I can't figure out why...
I was always told you had to add buffer to your top off water. I have been adding AragaMilk to my all my RO/DI water. Any one else have a opinion on this?
I got a nice yellow leather coral about a week ago. It looked nice for two days then it started getting a dark brown slime film on it. The coral is now more of a yellowish green in color. The film occasionally blows off with the current. The polyp haven't came out since I put it in my tank. All...
It dosn't change to white when it is retracted. It stays about the same color as the picture a brownish purple. I've looked at pictures of cladiella before and they don't seem to look anything like this or are they all different.
Should I be adding buffer to my RO/DI top off water and the water I use for monthly water changes? I read some places that said to add it and others not to even bother. In the year that I have had my reef tank I never added anything to the top off water. But I have also always had some problems...
Is there anything I can use to dissolve coralline from tank equipment such as powerheads? I replaced some powerheads in my tank and I would like to clean them up. It is very hard to clean them good with just a scraper.
A couple days ago I noticed one of my green mushrooms was covered with a brownish slime. Within one day all my green mushrooms were covered with this slime. I sighoned in off of them but the next day they were all dead and no trace of them on the rock. It just looked like they melted. They have...
My 30g reef tank is 10 months old and the levels are:

Nitrate: 1mg/1
Nitrite: 0
Alk: 10 dkH
Phosphate: 0
Calcium 400

The tank was going great with tons of coralline grow and no algae grow. A month ago I change my tank from 110 PC bulbs to a 10k...
Since I posted this tread so long ago and didn't really get much for a answer then I just when without any glass. So far so good. I really don't have any large fish that would splash the bulbs and I'm very careful not to splash it when I clean the tank. I just posted the question because I seen...
I don't know why anyone wouldn't send it in. I just got a IceCap ballast also and I sent mine in. Sure sending any registration may result in some junk mail but it would be worth it if you ever have problems with the ballast.
I'm pretty sure it is cryno. It is deep red and like a film covering the glass. There is a tiny bit on some of my corals and live rock also. My phosphates reads 0 and my other levels are good also. I scrap the glass every day but the next day it is covered again. I did have a coral die about a...
