I kind of told my friend earlier stop paying their vacation trip 95% of the bill but he didn't really listen. and now he plan to move in an apt with her but guess what.....now he is suppose to pay ALL the house bill, i dunno what's wrong with the girl. I kind of want to tell my friend to dump the girl but i don't want him to regret and come to me and say $hit later on in life so........

You guys have all had your say from guys/men's point of view. Now let's try a gal's/woman's point of view. Older woman with 3 sons & 1 daughter.LOL

Old school, marriage= husband worked brought home the $$, and did all of the heavy labor around the home & yard, wife/mother stayed home raised the children, and took care of the home & gardening.

New school, with inflation, and woman's rights - both work, and bring home the $$.
Both should share equally on all household chores. Financial burden should be shared equally if both make the same $$.

Reality, both work outside of the home to bring the $$ in. Woman shares most if not all of the household burdens including the raising of the children.

As to your friend, and his dilema! This girl/youngwoman sounds like TROUBLE. Starting a relationship like this is something that your friend should really think about.

One thing is to be a stay at home mom, and another one to be a b_ _ _h! Or perhaps she does not want to move in with him, and he is pushing the issue.

I don't think it's honestly from him paying for the vacation most of the time. She's more than likely is looking to live in a place on his dime. He should just be straight and tell her that she has to share the bills or it's not going to work. This day and age, it's hard enough to be living on your own. But paying for 2 people is even worse if you don't have a decent, high paying job. I understand why you're hesitant in telling your friend your opinion/feeling. You can tell him what you feel and leave the decision up to him. He can't blame you if you don't tell him what to do. The decision is still his in the end.

Me and my fiance split everything or should say all the $ goes in one pot and bills are paid from there, if he makes alot more then her, then maybe do a 75-25 split, but never to have to pay everything and she works. He can do bad by hisself not needing a free ride for someone else

Hey Awibrandy - I split the bills with my wife (joint account), help around the house (I don't think she's cleaned the bathroom in 5 years), take the little one out (I'm the one who brings my daughter to birthday parties, movies, swimming lessons etc.). So there ptptptptptptpt :Blurp:

Thanks everyone for your point of view. I just thought it's ridiclouse on what the girl was pushing for. Lots of great points. I just got back from babymoon.....lol!!!! Jamaica. Will be posting some pictures on a separate thread.

I haven't spoken to my friend since i got back and i'm not the main character of this drama for sure.....lol.

Neither one of them own a house. They just plan to move to a new place and plan to rent in Manhattan....lol!!! Just for the convenient, but as one of the guy state, affording for a place in manhattan is not cheap, and they are talking about midtown area, i guess below 100 street, not too sure to be exact.

What the girl's arugument is that yeah, the guy should work and take care of all the expenses but they are not even marry yet and she has her own F**King job, so i don't see why she pushing for that and if they are marry with kids and the girl is a staying home mom and does not work i can totally understand. Oh, i think they make around the same and the chick is not super hot if that matter......lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't imagine what will happen after they get marry if that day comes. The girl will probalby keep all his money and give him $50 allowance monthly and he has to work like a cow....hehehhe.
