Yee-Haa...my FIRST post here !!....ok, lets get serious. Not sure if this is even the right spot for this post, so i apologize if it isn't. Hello to everyone here, i just signed up and will be joining you guys for, hopefully, a long time ! I have a 90 gal glass tank that I've had for about 6 years and ONLY had freshwater, NEVER saltwater fish. I've had cichlids, parrots, piranhas, you name it, i probably had it at one time or another. I'm knowledgable with the nitrate, nitrite, ph, ammonia levels, temp, etc,. I'm taking the plunge to saltwater and I am a little nervous, curious, can't wait, etc. I am reading the book, " saltwater for dummys " , which i find interesting. A friend of mine told me to join this site, he said it is the best around, and calls it highly addicting !!. As of now, I stare at an empty tank :grumpy:. the fish are gone. The gravel, decorations, plants, etc gone, its all cleaned out, and ready to go. You know how bad it sucks to stare at an empty tank ??...lol....I desperately want to get started, but i know this can't be rushed. Step one, obviously is a wet/dry filter & pump. I used/ still have a fluval 404, an aqua clear 110, and turbo-twist 18watt sterilizer i used w/the freshwater fish, but now its a whole new ball game, i guess ??. My friend said there are alot of good sales here and i should definitely check them out, before i buy elsewhere...Whew..sorry for such a long post but i figured you want to know were I'm at. So, i'm at square one and don't know which direction to head in...
