just curious , besides reducing nirates ,what esle do they remove, and how often do you have to replace, nice stripper bro !


Hi, you don't need to replace it, it will always be there, it's like your live rock except it does so much more efficient. it nice and small and you can just put it anywhere you want. I have it in the sump.

The single block is the same as 50lbs of live rock.
It is super porous.
It only denitrifies in anaerobic conditions aka low flow and no oxygen. In order to achieve that with these you need the have the big (8x8x4)blocks in a low flow area. If you break it up it'll just work as normal live rock and consume ammonia and nitrite.
