hey guys starting up a 40 breeder. im upgrading from my 15 gallon lps reef tank want something a lil bigger with better dimensions. im trying to do some sps in the 40 breeder, never done it hoping i can succeed. i want this to be a sps and some nice lps tank.i got my 40 breeder drilled and painted black in the back by my good friend eric. i also got my ADHI 30 refugium from him as well. as for equipment that i have so far i have and mp40w es, deep blue 36" solarextreme, mag 9.5, reef octopus xs160, ADHI 30 refugium. i am currently building my own stand. never done this before so dont go crazy on me. i wanted to do a display fuge with the ADHI so i decided to make my OWN. i built it mainly by 2x4 and alot of 90degree angles. lol. im in the process of finishing the stand. i just ned a few more cuts to finish the exterior plywood that i will be staining dark mahogony. i decided to leave the front of the stand open with an opening so u only can see the refugium. i only put a piece of plywood on the top front of the stand held by magnets (was gonna use hinges to make piece go up and down but hinge wouldnt be flush with the whole setup didnt like it) so i can get in there and work much easier (with skimmer, fuge, etc.) i have a few pics of some of the stand build and tank and fuge. tell me what u guys think. all work was helped with by devilsgreed11 hes my cousin. thanks gam

Looks sturdy. Are the metal braces the only thing holding the wood together? Any chance of corrosion down the road from the saltwater? I used 2x4for my build also. I would have used those braces as well if they hold up to the saltwater. I skinned mine with plywood, and made a double door on the front, and a built a side door to remove the sump if need be.

Yea it can with stand up to g-force winds. Lol. Thanks guys. I never thought of any corrosion I don't think it should be a problem though none r really exposed to where saltwater can drip or anything n ill make sure when I make the plumbing to not put any connections.near any wood.in case of salt creep or.anything.
