Awesome stand Barrie, and yup this is the exact tank I have. We talked the other day at AV. My build thread is somewhere around here.

That sump is a monster too. My stand unfortunately isn't big enough to house something like that though.

I wanted to over build the sump so I could use it on my next upgrade.
Also wanted to have a display sump. I figure a lot reefers are just as interested in the sump as well as the DT.

Working on the overflow box and plumbing the return.
I wanted to use both knock outs for the return, I think the plumbing turned out well. Wish I didn't have to use 90 deg fittings but I could not find a 45 deg wye unless I ordered online.
That will be in the next build.

Time for a long needed update.

Right now Im filling this with buckets of RODI.
Perfectly level with my level app but its not comforting filling up 150 gallon tank on a stand you designed and built yourself.
I am constantly second guessing all my construction.

I just so happen to be building the exact same tank and also made a stand! I love your idea of using both of the cutouts for the return. Although I have 2 overflows, I still like the "dual exhaust" look as my 150 bow has now. I am so tagging along on this!

Yea I like to distribute the flow evenly across as many returns as I can.
If you can plumb that it will make a huge difference.

Finished filling it today.
I'm sure the stand is fine it was making me second guess everything. Like maybe I should have skinned with 3/4 instead of 1/2 inch ply.
I felt the same when I filled the 75 over a cheap pine stand.
This is after I filled it today and added some sand I was cycling.

Tank is stocked and finally starting to get back to normal.
Really happy with most of the coral placement.
Happy to have some space in the tank now.

There are four squareback anthias in there I was hoping they would come out by now.

very nice..I like the lion...I find that anthias are more willing to come out when there are other mid water swimming fish like other anthias, chromis etc...
