Update- build is still underway. Long & slow. Got plumbing done only to find leaks so gotta fix those. Sump is a 75g and gonna run a 33g fuge. Stay tuned for pics.
A better shot of the sump area. You can see the 33 gallon sitting up high in the background. That will be my fuge and it will drain back into the sump. Im running a "t" off the return to fill the fuge and drain into the return side of the sump.
P.S. sorry for the abnoxiously large photos. I forgot to change image size in my camera.
My closed loop set up. Gonna use a dedicated pump to create flow. I positioned the outputs to push water and flow with the shape of the tank. The plumbing should be covered by rocks and sand once in place.
The return pump, is a blueline 100 which is 1900gph pump, but it has to push up about 15ft so its actually less than that. I know its reccomended to shoot fora turnover of 10x an hr but Im probably a little under that. Thats why Im going to run a seperate pump to create flow. As for the plumbing size the overflow is 1.5" and the return is 1'. This is the size was already drilled for so I left it the same. The pump inlet & outlet is 1"
Spent all day yesterday aquascaping. Im happy. Please excuse the pics they were taken with my phone. It was late and I didnt feel like getting my camera.
i used to run one of these Aqua Vim tanks, i think it was a 110g. It was probably the nicest tank i ever owned. Good luck with the build. Take your time and do everything right the first time.
Nice setup! Looked into a tank like this as well, they're definitely gorgeous. I think I saw you put this up for sale about a year or two ago? Glad you decided to keep it!
