well, they say they will eat the small ones, but i had one before i simply hated, due to the fact that it would perch on, with or 2 pointy legs jammed into soft corals and stress them out to no end.
one small lfs owner near me would swear by them. he would have one in every coral tank.
i have seen my coral banded shrimp do this as well(eat a bristleworm), but it's a very rare occasion.

this arrow crab was placed in my display a day before i took this pic. i'm not sure how he's going to act once he gets used to my heavy feeding.

latest pics.
i have everything in place, and the door is on the front of the tank. i'm not really happy with the door, and i'll figure out something better, later. i'm just sick of staring at halides instead of my tank. not to mention, it really silences the tank room with the door shut.
meanwhile, i shot some corals under the lighting(still the chinese cheapo bulbs, except for the URI actinics).

Tank looks awesome, nice clear photos to drool over. I agree about the door....

At the risk of sounding rude  , the front left grouping looks too "placed" and unnatural to me. Also, the two top outer white plastic would be less visible if they were a darker shade.

front left grouping? you mean the frags on the sand? how else would you place things that lie on the sand?

the 2 top outer white plastic will be covered with pink in no time. they don't make pvc in any other color i'm afraid. they make grey pvc, but not in those fittings. thanks for your criticism.

thanks BT. let them grow. i'll send you some.

Looking good X. I do have a quick question though...

How much of your old stuff (sand, rock, etc.) did you put in the new tank? And do you think you will have any spikes in water quality before the microbes are in full force? (since it is a 'new' tank with established stuff)

metalac- achinophora. really cool! it eats..see the little green mouths  it actually looked better in my old tank.

Mthompson- i used all of my live rock, which i transported totally submerged. i used the water that came in the buckets as well. i used hardly any of my old sand though...there was too much dirt in it for me to be comfortable with it. i washed it out completely, and put some in the fuge, and the rest i'll probably give away.
i don't think i'll get much of a spike...nothing as of yet...i do have a brown diatom thing happening, but i'm not too worried about it. the snails/algae blenny/tangs are enjoying it.

wow, i haven't seen this in a while; put in "achinophora" in google and i get ONE link :), can you make sure that spelling is correct? I'd like to see where I could purchase something like this, I think I have a perfect spot for it :). What are the light requirements?
