Still waiting on the sump to show up. I was told 4 weeks or less and yesterday made 3 weeks. So I guess I should have it in 7-14 days from today.

Just ordered my return pump, skimmer, refractometer and light mount. Going to go with the AI hydra 52 - black. Yeah income tax return.

Installed the drain and return risers today. Did not like the double elbow marine land supplies so I swapped it out for a durso style tee and elbow with a vent cap. Not much but progress.

Skimmer, pump, light bracket and refractometer arrived yesterday and nothing was broken. Waiting on the sump. I was quoted 4 weeks, which is tomorrow but have not gotten any notification on it's status yet.

Looks like my sump is going to be at least a week late. Not happy about being quoted a 4 week delivery then it being late.

that sucks, but Melev as far as I know has no employees and is building his stuff in his sparetime(after work, and dealing with family) - sometimes sh*t happens and time tables get pushed back a bit

I get that and I am understanding about stuff, if it gets relayed to me. I just do not like the fact I had to contact him to find out it was going to be late. A week more is not going to matter in the grand plan of the tank I just got issues about being informed.

Checked in with Marc last night, the sump is done, cured, tested etc. He is shipping it today. Going to be able to put things together and fill in the next week or so.

kewl. I rediscovered an LFS this past weekend(I knew about it but it sucked years ago, they were more Pond oriented at the time) and I just discovered another new LFS not far off as well that I'll check out this weekend while I wait for my usual place to reopen...

Sump is shipped. According to the fedex tracking I should have it tomorrow. Got new filters for my RO DI and the top off yesterday. If all goes well I should be able to plumb it up Sunday and get it leak tested early next week. I would do it Saturday, but we got an indoor guard performance in Denham Springs.

Yup. I hope by the end of next week to have it salted and a piece or two of live rock in the tank. Not sue if I am going to get it all local. The guy here in Houma does not have a big selection of rock.

A little visual update

A pile of stuff waiting to be installed.

The sump from Marc sitting in the stand and the pump in its approximate location. It is a tight fit, butI think I made good use of the space. I am planning on making a small control rack to mount the controllers and power strips. None of that will be in the stand.
