Second on that with Dean. It does look like a anemone crab. See if you spot in going into the anenome or close by it most of the time. Really cool small little crab.

Thanks for the help- looks like the Condy is fine today, so hopefully it was simply shrinking for bedtime! It went into a tight ball once the lights were out. The crab i am not so sure of, as I am not sure it is moving... hmm, will have to see when I get back home tonight. Thanks!

It was prbly pooping, anenomes do that sometimes and then theyre fine the next day.

My .02 on condy's
-They sting
-Clowns wont host in one(stings too aggressive)
-they have bad coloring for the most part.
-they'll sting the life out of anything it touches, not so good in a nano.
-they survive best under MH, as most anenomes

hows your flow BTW?

Nanoreefer- you can check out their price chart here: http://www.tampabaysaltwater.com/thepackage/package_chart.html

I spent about $230 for my package- 32 lbs LR, 16lbs LS, cleaning crew, anenomes (mixed blessing- I still dont know what to do about them, wish he had given me other extras like brain corals, etc. that they sometimes throw in). You get it air shipped to laguardia for about $75 (since they ship in water they pretty much have to air frieght it, Fed Ex would costs a ton of $ for the weight).

With your small package you should ask him to ship it all at once so you don't have to pay twice for shipping. They usually ship in two batches, so the tank doesn't have one giant cycle. Shipping ends up costing a ton, if you include the cab ride there ($60 round trip). So I guess in total, if you include shipping and cab rides then I spent $500 (wow...hadn't added that up before- I hate shipping costs).

Josh-
That is some kind of oyster as far as I can tell. I have a couple on the rock- might be a clam, but I saw some giant oysters the other day and I think they resemble this one.

Deanos-
I really wish they hadn't been included with my rock- I had to put them in the tank so they wouldn't die, but I am really worried about them.
I like the look of the Condy, hopefully it doesn't move too much- seems to have anchored itself firmly and hasn't moved for 5 days or so...we'll see.
Think I'm going to take the Flower anenome to the fish store- not really that great looking and it keep moving around.

I don't really know how my flow is exactly- the Tunze mini pumps I have going give me about 14X Turnover. Then I am not sure if you would add the Remora w/ Maxijet, and AquaClear 70.

Here's a little update- now that I have some corals! Great time at the frag swap- thanks Deanos and Mike for the GSP and Xenia. New corals in lower left of tank- new tiny acro frags at top in the back (we'll see how they do- they have colored up nice so far though). This was taken last night- everything has really opened up since then and is looking great! Here are some pics of the tank...enjoy!

Here's a tiny SPS frag I'm trying out in the tank, we'll see how it does- looks like its coloring up nicely though (mostly brown, probably going to stay that way since my lighting isn't too intense...)

Here's the anemone crab I saw the other day- looked it up and it is almost certainly a Banded Clinging Crab, Mithraculus (Mithrax) cinctimanus- which likes to host in the condylactis anenome...anyone know much about these guys? (hes smack in the center hole - blends in well though...)

Here's where my condy has taken up residence-- hopefully he stays put and doesn't move. As soon as he moves out I think i'm getting rid of him (tried the other day but he's firmly anchored).

Finally!! Getting my Platinum Reef order tomorrow!!! Dennis had a softie tank crash a while back (reason there haven't been a good amount of zoos lately)- I guess most of my order was destroyed :( so I told him to pick out whatever he thought looked nice and he said he'd hook me up :) Can't wait!! I'm seriously debating removing my anemone by force... but i can't b/c I'd feel bad  I don't mind it stinging some xenia, but an expensive blasto is another thing!!! *sigh*

Getting frogspawn on Friday in trade- my tank will finally be nearly done! (well, not really- but you know what i mean...)
