my friend who lives up stairs from me is a welder, he said he can do one for me, i'll ask him to do it, but i think he said we have to powder coat it then paint it red, so it doesnt rust.

DON
why dont you get it done in acrylic(not sure if your a fan, bbut itll be lighter and asefer, in terms of acidents)
not sure what the dimensions of the above tank are,
but from socal creaions, if you geta 36x36x24 tank, and WOOD stand, itss be $1500 shipped..
if you want smaller dimensions, itll obviouslly be alot cheaper.

hha why do you NEED the red stand, dnont you think itll be easier on the viewers eyes, if they didnt see a dirty skimmer and a big ball of green in the sump, and wires and cords and tubes etc.
it mayy be cool now but in the future youll kinda get anoyed i think.
thogh the red is still very cool.
acrylic would be easier for you guys to drill and everything, and its high grade acrylic so it wont scratch so easily.
i would go for the acrylic.
what dimesnsions are you aiming for btw?

There will be magnetic paneLs to cover all the gear underneath. iF possibLe, i'd like it vented too... why RED? because it will match my British Classic furniture and my French Provincial dining set :approve:

Dimensions, we were thinking MAYBE 48 x 24 x 24... not sure yet, we sTill need to diScuss :yo:

To fabricate the metal you would want someone who is capable of custom automotive finishes. You would want someone who can coat it followed by red powdercoat followed by clearcoat.

As for the nagnets you would use the "rare earth magnets" built into panels. I have seen sump setups that you would want to show off. Plan it well and you wouldnt even have to hide the equipment cause it will be a work of art.
