my new 6gal fluval thread

try this again..i will catch everyone up on this tank..
been running tests daily since set up...i used 18lbs of arag-alive carib-sea pink fiji LS and 7 1/2 lbs of cycled indo LR. there is 4.5 gal of water in the tank..will be building a sump in the next couple of weeks.

on day 2 of cycle, ammonia went up to 0.50ppm then on day 3 nitrites went to 1.0ppm. day 4 when nitrites fell to 0.5ppm i added the mandarin goby. on day 5 nirates began to rise and by day 6 ammonia and nitrites fell to zero and nitrates rose to 20ppm. nitrates have been 20ppm for the last 4 days and no traces of ammonia or nirites.will be running another test later tonight..i will post results and a current pic of the tank..thanks to all those who remain interested!!
oh and mandy is doing fine!!! :fish:

update: all levels remain the same, mandy is still alive, and pistol shrimp has molted.

B-I actually picked up a Mandy yesterday, just to honor you! I will put up pics soon. I brought him home, acclimated him for 4 hours or so, then put him in the tank. He hid all night and all morning, but when I fed the tank about 6,492,593 brine shrimp he came right out to eat. Oh and I also got a jaw-dropping Wellso-green, red, and a little purple cuz a tank isn't complete without one!!!
