ok so ive been checking my parameters every day and its all good. 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate ph is 8.35 and temp is still 75 i know its not the greatest but its ok. so i decided to go ahead and get some stuff. i bought 4 hermit crabs 1 emerald crab, and a baby yellow watchman goby which will barley put an impact on the bioload the thing is so small he's hard to find but i like raising my fish from babies thats why i got him so small.

leds should be done by the end of the week! i finished soldering everything and putting the heatsinks on and setting all the drivers. now im building an open top canopy to put it in and then i just have to run the wires all the way down to the drivers and solder them together.

Just a heads up for future tank plumbing:

There is a clear PVC primer. The only reason for a purple one is so that a building inspector can see that the plumbers used primer on the fitting.

Everything else is looking nice.

ok click the pic to open i vid. you dont have to because its nt like a dedicated video i was just makin a vid with my cousins and it had the tank in it showing alot of stuff like the sump and the vortech and the leds so i posted it. oh and when the water is low at first it is because i had the return pump off to show the maximum wave the vortech can make but i turned it on in the middle of the vid as you can see.

ok so heres an update. i got the fish back from Fortunato they are very healthy and then i got some armor of God zoas from Ray, Triple R.

my orp is the most steady of the parameters. its high and my ozone machine isn't even connected yet. my temp is always up and down because i keep the heat in the house at 55 then when i go there i raise it to 70 so thats why theres such a big swing but the fish it usually goes from 70 the lowest to 77 the highest i know its bad but ill be moving in there soon so that will stop. my ph just completely dropped when i took out the skimmer but ill be getting the new pump for it tomorrow hopefully so it will be back to normal.

heres some more pics. enjoy!

nice so far, but few question's, when are you gonna get all the wire's up so you dont have to worry about getting electrocuted, and when you putting a splash shield on the led fixture so that a splash doesnt short out and ruin the light ? and whats holding the rocks up in the middle, and fyi mangroves leaves arent suppose to be submerged

my dad got me a multi cable from work so im going to be wiring it up permanently probably tomorrow, for the splash sheild i was kind of hoping to do it open top because i put all the pipes so it cant splash like it used to before it was drilled and its raised 8 inches above the edge of the tank but if i have to ill get a glass canopy. as for the rocks in the middle i stacked up the rocks on the side and then i leaned to big rocks on both sides an locked them into place and then i put the nice looking rocks on top of it. dont worry its very stable, im good at making arches. and thanks for the mangrove tip. i dont really have any other place to put them except my overflow box directly under the leds. i read up on it and it said that many people were successful with keeping them completely under the water so i was hoping for them to just grow out of the water but ill see what i can do.

get a p[iece of styro and cut hole and leave the roots submersed till they grow large enough,
for the light get a large piece of lexi and add a space between it and the heat shield and the will help protect from splash's, fish will and can make a splash and 1 drop of water is enough to shorten light fixture out
