Tim`s Aquatic`s No Longer A Vendor

Well how do I start? Today I got a call from my sales manager and he said that he had to inform me that they had to close my account.He said that he found out that I was selling and using their sales specials on the internet.He also said that they gave me the account based on that I was a "Maintance Company and I would be using them for things that I needed for my business and they do not sell to people selling out of their van or garage". This came as a shock to me because I never got any guidlines of what I can do and cant do, like sell on the internet or to my friends or to someone off the street, you get my drift. I don`t know where this came from but I have a good idea,I asked him how this all started and he said "I got a note on my desk to check you out and found you on the internet".Sounds like someone called and used their leverage against me"If you keep selling to him I will pull my store out and go elsewhere" Just a guess on my part,but the only thing I could think of.He also said " we do this sort of thing from time to time" I`m sure they always check the small guy that buys about $300 a week from them because this throws up a red flag,right? Well I just want to thank everyone on Manhattan Reefs for their suport and business for the short time I was a vendor here. I didn`t want to become rich off this just needed to make some extra money to support my family.I will still operate as a maintance company and try to help out as much I can. good luck with your maintence business.. sorry to hear about what happened really sucks.... if worse comes to worse why not start up a business name and get a tax ID then u can get urself a wholesaler and not have to worry about it... of course what i say seems easy (not that easy) but its solely up to u.. if you enjoyed what you were doing then do it up even better ... which ever choice u choose good luck and best wishes...

This sucks Tim thank you for your help getting my friend her tank she is so happy about it. Sorry to here that your not going to be vendor no more but for Maintance ill keep you in mind ever time some one askes me or ill tell them to switch to my guy tim lol hope you get a new account under someone elses name or something Soon im going to need that oceanic that i asked you for.

Sorry to hear about this Tim and this confuses me; as a maintenance company would you not offer to upgrade a persons tank, lights, skimmer if they requested? Any brick and mortar store, do they not sell and advertise on the Internet? I can't tell you how many maintenance companies I know that do not have a retail outlet so I can't see the rational here.

Wow Tim,

Really sorry to hear the terrible news. Think of it this way everything happends for a reason, and where one door closes 10 more open. I'm pretty sure in your journey in the filed you'll find a better wholesaler. Good luck Tim.
