). Even people running ULNS systems keep zoanthids with success, so it's not an issue. While I'm not expert zoanthid keeper, my experience is that some morphs are harder to keep than others and amount of light plays role in their growth, too. For example, pink&gold palythosa looks much better and grow quicker if you put the close to the light source, much like sps like. However, most zoas and palys don't like that high levels of light, they grow smaller and sometimes shrink. I also found that some specimens of thesame morph can be hardier than others. I remember getting a darth maul frag from a member here too, it grown for me nicely and it suddenly died in a matter of days. What was interesting is that same thing happen to him and at least two other people that he gave it to. I received another frag from him a few weeks later (from a different colony) and I have no problems with it so far, it grows nicely and multiplies quickly. I feed my zoas oyster feast and reef pearl sometimes and I see them interested in this kind of food (they open their mouths wider when I feed them) but I can't be 100% sure it helps with their growth.
