The pics will have to be taken from the top of tank and not through the glass. The 92 corners glass dulls the color. Not an excuse but the true colors are from the top not the panels

Are you guys series? My 4 ai sols are suspended 12 inches above my 30 inch tall tank... My encrusting corals are growing on the bottom,, I'm not even at 50% and I've had them 4-5 months maybe more,, have to check..
My 400 watt mh could not penetrate that much... I think it depends on which led unit u but as well,, I'll get a vid and pix soon.. Love my ai sols.. I think one guy on. Rc added neutral white LEDs to them to better the color.. I did tons of research on LEDs.. And the ai sols andre proven tried and true

Frag has to be at same height as others in any location of the tank

It will be judged by other MR members when 3 month period is up
Winner gets to gloat about there lighting of choice

Yep I know led will get me on growth so let them put it up as high as they want I got them on color no problem

Well the topic was to see the guys who switched there lighting from MH or T5 to LEDs. i like my LEDs but i started my SPS tank with LEDs and it seems some with established tanks and switched are having some trouble.

those leds are an expensive surprise. lmao
stick with whats proven..

I'd rather replace a bulb than a whole led unit.
Those things will eventually burn out. I don't believe they are gonna last all those years as they are predicting....

Stop ruining our fun LOL.. We know its not going to prove much but its going to be fun. i know jerl takes care of his tank as well as i do so we want to see growth and color since some people say since switching to LEDs there SPS looks washed out and no growth.

Gotta admit I love the blue leds, but thats about it... strictly for the visual color.. Brings out the fluorescence in the corals..

like i said you got me on growth the growth with leds are amazing but there is no way you got me on color this is going to be really fun
