We're going to have to rename the event to the manhattan reef singles frag swap.

jk, it would be great if someone did hook up with more than just frags.

MR could be responsible for the first frag swap relationship. :)

Frag swap and some ideas.

I'm in!

I went to the last frag swap and had some ideas for this one.

1) Perhaps we could have photos of ALL corals posted on a bulletin board for people to check out before buying. Since most corals close when they are in bags and don't have any light, this would be a huge help for those interested in buying corals. There are many obvious benefits - ie, seeing the coral size, colors.

2) The second idea is that many of us have "pest" corals, for example yellow polyps, that are easy to grow and are great for beginners. Many of us throw these out on a regular basis while pruning our tanks. I would suggest that people could bring some of these corals to donate to new people in the hobby. Some other examples might be small pieces of xenia. We could have one tub of donation corals for beginners.
