tank temps

hi guys just wanted to post up my temp which is 86, so far fish and corals are fine , i have my lights come on 6pm when sun is down a little . fan is doing its best. feel free to post ur tank temps pls and hows ur tank doin in this 100 degree weather.

80.2 today highest of the season so far.. Fan on the sump is my method of cooling and my fan is a 20" fan facing down on the water..

so far it went down to 84 water feels cool

Worst year in the last few in terms of extended heat periods which results in hot ambient indoor temps.
I've always relied on multiple fans directed in sumps & canopys, an inline exhaust fan to pull out the warm air and a chiller for just the SPS tank.
This year I had to go out and get a portable AC for the fishroom :smash:

I run my AC all day evry day all summer long my tank today is at 80.3 with the MH & T5 on since 10am . my electric bill is around $150-$180 a month not to bad

77 no chiller... my setup is in my basement and central air. gotta love that central air.

I pay about half the rate of Con Ed and my monthly bills are still between $450 & $525

my tank reached 86 turned the chiller on and now i am at 82 my first summer with a reef tank and it is going ok so far

I almost hit 81 today and my method is AC... But I had to put the 72 on the AC because my tank had went down to 75...

Anytime the tank is too hot, so am I, so I turn on the AC. I can't see a situation where I would want to turn on a chiller and cool the tank but make myself more hot.

Tank hit stayed at 80 yesterday with central ac on. 82 with just the fans.

steady at 81.7 have to leave the giant window ac on all day to keep it there but the living room where the tank is is verrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy NICE

Highest is 78.4 with fan on tank and a/c going on at 10am off at 8pm not to bad

i guess if i would have had led lights my temp would drop lower

i havea chiller, and use a fan in window to pull heat out, tank never above 80

85 degrees. Air conditioner + fan in the living room and still hot as heck. Only keep the lights on 3-4 hours tops. Cold packs and high circulation helps a lot.
