LOL Steve!

All this attention must be feeding his starving ego. For a while I thought I was the only one who argued with him. Now he appears to have a captive audience.

Seems that this week is "Rip Wayne" week ;)

I guess it must be a slow work week for all of us, that we've got the time to play along.

Jenn ;)

not only are you ignorant-you insist on remaining so, even after an explanation

an act is not a law

prosecution can only follow violation of a STATUTE-us code blah blah blah

once again- who was ever charged, prosecuted, or sentenced under the lacey ACT ?

Not to stir the pot too much, but the Lacey Act is 16 U.S.C. SS 3371-3378. It was signed into law more than 100 years ago, and lots of folks have been prosecuted under it, in wide varieties of cases. More than 700 Lacey Act criminal counts were filed in U.S. federal courts during fiscal years 1993 and 1994 alone. These charges resulted in approximately 315 months of incarceration, along with fines and forfeitures of property and wildlife.

Well that proves it has basicly no claws then. 700 cases = 315 months incarceration? An average of 2.2 months per case? How many were from sales of cyanide fish? Where's that 0 key :D

well, if it had claws ever-would have resulted in DECADES of jail time on the illegal smuggling of macaws alone

heck- just the trade in wild hyacinths (macaws) would have given far far better stats than the present results-especially given the far higher commercial value and relative decimation involved as a percentage in the wild bird smuggling trade

all anyone has to do is look for leg bands and verify numbers ;)

Well I can honestly say I have been VERY discouraged with the fiji I have been getting lately. I can't remember the time I got Fiji rock and saw actual coralline on it. I know it's not my suppliers fault, they are just transhipping so I haven't been complaining (cept of course the dead rats or the infestation of thousands of insects) but man, what the hell is going on? Everyone keeps saying it's fresh rock and I'm actually embarrassed to charge people for it when I get it!
