Sort through all the fish? Really? Even the ones ordered by non F&S suppliers? That was the implication I asked about earlier but did not receive a reply to.

Stuff that doesn't do well in captivity? I still see Goniopora sp. listed for sale. When I searched for Moorish Idol it came up along with a Blue Lollipop Tunicate 8O

Sea apples available too - at least there's a toxin warning on those - along with an "expert level" recommendation and a disclaimer that F&S won't be liable if one cuke pukes in the hobbyist's tank ;)

I guess the "doesn't do well in captivity" part is kinda subjective ;)

Don't think for a second that any of us here don't consider this dialog to be anything LESS than work. This topic concerns my livelyhood, and that is why I am here.

For the record, I don't believe QM/DRF&S were the first to implement the dropship routine...ERI/FlyingFishExpress did it a few years ago.

For starters, we avoid discount fish and only work with the most reputable industry suppliers and importers.

WOW so are you saying that these reputable suppliers and importers never get sick or dying livestock??????????? If so I want to buy from them!!!!!!!!

And lastly I will now expose you for what you and your company are, a bunch of liars. And as far as any legal ramifications, first off you would have to prove my content to be nontruthful. And even if you could do that there are plenty of countries that a person can register and own a domain with no legal liability.

And lastly Chase, please inform of what legal ramifications can I expect if I start a bulletin board where your customers share their experiences? I have seen enough episodes of Matlock to be dangerous.

Oh yeah and I just got done moving an invert system.

BTW I just had a customer who order some aquacultured SPS from you, and they were less than an inch and broke off of their base immediately. I guess they must of had a long time to heal after you glued them.

You are again wrong on the frags. Kevin and I do personally see every single one of those and in fact we have personally made many . In this regard you fail to understand that it's not ALL about the money and the success of your business plan. Rather, we are addressing the chain of custody of the livestock and the health therein.

Just for clarity, Race, are you accusing STR of lying, or his customer? Stating that he's "wrong" is pretty strong without solid information to back it up.

How is it the thread is no longer useful? You got your last plug in for your guarantee... so another customer "didn't make the purchase". Free frags all around ;) Just wait for the UPS man and call to make your complaint. Have buyer's remorse a week or so down the road? One phone call cancels it all... like it never even happened. Wonder what would happen if a disproportionate amount of people all decided to do that at once? 8O

For me, if my customer was dissatisfied I'd want to speak with them about it and find out *why* they were dissatisfied and if it was something my company or I was doing wrong, I'd be working to correct it. If it was something the customer was doing wrong, I'd want to work with them to correct it - thus *real* customer satisfaction is achieved. After all, repeat business is the cornerstone of my business.

No need to take your toys out of the sandbox and go home, Race - how about addressing some of the other questions that are dangling in this thread?

Respectfully - if you're willing to come into this forum and tout the virtues of your guarantee, quality of livestock, etc., it's only reasonable that you address the questions respectfully posed here.

Personally, I've made a few assumptions after seeing this discussion, which I'll keep to myself, but you've got a golden opportunity to clear the air by setting the record straight bit it's starting to look like you can't or won't. We don't bite -- much ;)

That gig didnt work out too well for mr Miller.

I can't attest to the success of the Flying Fish endeavor, only that they made an attempt to dropship livegoods directly from ERI. And this occured prior to DRF&S.

I don't know either Chris or Rebecca.

I think Race has shown intestinal fortitue by coming here to post. I might just go to Wisconsin to see what they are up to first hand before I pass judgement. I believe it is far better we keep an open dialog than to try and drive him from the board. Keep a thick skin Race. At least nobody called you a "Slick Willie."

I agree Mitch.

My concern isn't with Race and his companies, but rather this emerging industry practice of circumventing the B&M. I am certainly no visionary, but I do worry about having to deal with an increasing number of companies like DRF&S, and the fallout this will have in the future.

We (as an industry) will certainly become distracted in our focus to preserve quality if MO customers make direct purchases, and B&Ms have to pick up their slack.

Race has stated that his credentials as a DVM will help with matters in our industry. I don't believe this is true. Performance is what matters. And I'm not talking about volume. Quality is the goal, and we can't let this little smokescreen shift our focus.

He may have intestinal fortitude to come here to post, but he only came here to post when it would be easy to throw in an advertisement. IMHO he hasn't made a single attempt to answer the questions where the truth could be potentially damaging and/or revealing. If he were to do that, then maybe he could score some brownie points.

If this man is going to claim on his own site that he gets first pick of all livestock that enters the US and the only ones released to the rest of the stores in the country are those he passed over I think I'm well within my rights to ask for an explanation as to how exactly he manages to pull that one off.

Since when did it take courage to market ones own products????
It may take nerve....especially when dealing with more aware people and commercial ones at that....but courage its not , especially when one bails out when the going gets rough.

I wonder how the level of courage [or even interest] is on non sales oriented issues? You know....like what Mark found in his year in the Philippines working w/ the reputable dealers who suppply F$S's wholesalers.

Well he must be marketing to the lurkers since I don't see this bunch buying much from F&S. If you want to get fired up against someone then do it against the wholesalers who enable it. All Race is doing is exploiting their greed and taking it to new highs. Is this not the American way?

No, not this bunch that is actually posting or perhaps even lurking in here...but there are 27,000+ members here no? Doesn't matter where you get your ads plastered on the forum the search function treats them all the same.
