The new stadium will seat 51,000 fans, with a total capcity of approximately 53,000 (including standing room), compared with 57,545 in Yankee Stadium (although that number does not include seating in luxury boxes).

Yankee fans can expect to pay a whopping $29 for stadium parking during home games starting in 2010 - more than twice last year's $14 rate.

Those who want valet service will pay $40 - a sharp increase over today's $30 rate.
The projected hikes were revealed in the fine print of a $237 million Wall Street bond offering that the city Industrial Development Agency issued two weeks ago to finance the creation and refurbishing of nearly 9,000 parking spaces for the new stadium.
The basic game-day parking rates will jump to $17 this year, then to $19 next year, when the new Yankee Stadium is slated to open. The rates would then zoom to $29 in 2010 and would increase to $35 by 2014, according to a parking feasibility study that accompanies the bond documents

I drive up the Harlem River Drive every morning now and I look across the river and see both stadiums next to each other and I really like how it looks. One day I will get a pic of it I hope before they tear the "old" one down.

Two things: Whats gonna be the new nickname for the stadium, the old one has amazing history

and if I make my baseball politics public on this site will I banned, hint it involves a Nation, not one of the over-obsessed freak out fans willing to fight over my team but diehard nontheless(been a fan for 22 years not a bandwagon fan FYI)
