I often wonder the same thing. I got my car stolen once b4 . And it wasn't because of the plate. ( I got stalked on my way home from the track ).. Since then the car sleeps in a inclosed garage behind 3 other cars. And is still locked up and the steeringwheel removed and LOJACK!

No you should only cover up or remove your plates when you park on the street. Also park at least 2 blocks from your house or people will know where you live.

I could car less if my car was stolen. I would actually find it funny (unless I had my toys in there) I was hoping someone would steal my CRV. Would have gotten more $$$ than trade in value. Identity theft is something I fear........

Thanks for the compliments guys, as far as fastest anyones driven..... Lets just say I am pretty sure I am taking the prize on that one, not in the turbo though, once it gets around 150 it isn't glued to the ground so well, but my record is in my old car, an 07 BMW M6

:tired: Yes of course because the frequently close the Taconic State Parkway for people to race on. Yorktown, Lake Mohegan, Millwood, Briarcliff, and Putnam Vally Fire Departments never ever ever scrape people off of the roadway for racing as well.

i was trapping 140mph in the 1/4 mile last year.. Maybe this year i can get the " Hey sir, get a chute speach".. By the way ajcut7, thats one hell of a Porsche u got there.

Since it seems quite a few of you are into performance cars. And some of you guys seem like you like to compete a bit .

Next year i am planning a Track Rental (either Atco or EnglishTown).

should be fun , would only be a weekday tho (8am-5pm) with 2 well preped lanes.

This will give you a chance to do a lot of things you will not get to do on a Test & Tune night because of the volume of cars.

*you can get some (a lott really ) of seat time . Get to know your car's potential and your driving ability.
*Dial in your car (boost,suspension,tune, different fuels etc)
*maybe a few grudge matches
* There will be a small Cash Pot for best/fastest (MPH, 60FOOT,AND overall ET)
*should be a fun time , beers, food , and the whole day will be recorded and a DVD will be made with in-car shots, burnouts, etc.
* I will make a thread when the time comes near ( about 2-3 months in advanced since these things get sold out fast).
* THIS IS FOR VERYYY SERIOUS PEOPLE ONLY . 12-14 cars are allowed @ a 12-14 way split of $125 if 12 cars and $100 if 14 cars attend.

Just something to think about , I will also consider a Auto-X track rental later in the year, ( however this will be quite a bit more $ per person)

PS: Admin/Mods , this will be non-profit , i will be getting no $ what so ever from this get together. If anything i will be looseing out ( since the Pot prize $ will be comming out of my own pocket)
