Lol, I guess it is a downgrade in terms of dimension of the DT. However, the volume has actually increase.

I have less displacement from rock and sand, and also my sump is a bit over twice the size of the original so I'm around 142 gallon potential. So, even with out completely filling my sump, I think I'm probably on the same overall volume.

This just looks so much better.
I couldn't pass it up.

I am trying out the barebottom for now. So far I really like it because it is so easy to clean.

Thanks!

Just a mag 12.
I don't even run it on 100%
I use that and the WP40 on it's lowest controller setting.
Then I also turn down the wattage to under power it to 15/18v instead of the full 24v.

Whew...
So, it's like I upgrade one thing and then everything else has to follow!

Now that I'm going SPS, I need to add better dosing, more control on adding water, etc etc.

So, within the next month or so, staggered so that I'm not dumping $$. Also, as i make new purchases, I try and sell off my unused stuff (I have some purchases lined up with folks that haven't broken down yet, but i trust that they will give these to me):

2 BRS 1.1 ml Dosers (already have tons of BRS bulk mix that came with purchase of my tank)
Upgrade controller to have 1 eb8 and pH port, and 2 temp probes (i only have eb4 now)
Photon 32/IT2080
SRO 2000 INT
Need to make one of Kathy's screens for rimless tanks.

lol, still no sand.
I really like it without sand.

I get to clean the glass on the bottom of the tank.
To get detritus I can just blow the WP40 at the bottom of the tank and let it go into the overflow.
no vacuuming necessary.
