Nice G. seems like a lot of people are going this route. LMK how it works for you.

Yeah, i figured i would hop on the band wagon. I know people who have had great experiences with even the smallest sized reactors. Now becomes the question of whether or not i set up a stand alone fuge too which i was planning on doing in the near future before this idea came along

Started this reactor up last last wednesday night, so slightly shy of a week ago. Started off with a cheato ball about the size of a baseball. It has grown to a little more than half fill the reactor chamber of a skimz fm 150 which holds approximately 1.7 gallons of water. So pretty much went from a baseball to a gallon in 6 days.

Have a link to the leds you are using ?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FHEJ6NA/?tag=reefs04-20

From my research, the 3000k was better than the 6500k which made me choose that color. Then I also did a little research into light output of the various LED chips used in these cheapo led strips and 5630 leds (56mm x 30mm) put out the most out light out of the 3 options of 2835, 5050, and 5630.

This particular strip could be cut down to size if you wanted to use less light, but I figured go big or go home so I used the whole 5 meters.
