well, i took some last night, but they did not turn out well. gonna try again today when the lights come on. as for the purple bonsai, i still have it, but had some problems with it in a few spots with the flesh receding. what i think it was from was a metal washer that somehow made it's way into my tank. i have not figured out how that happened, but i saw it in the corner one day. so not sure how long it was there. but i ended up losing a couple sps. but the bonsai is doing a bit better, but not really much growth.

Your tank is still looking great Jenny. Amazing that the rocks are the only filtering. Are you still using the 20k XM or did you change the bulb?

still using the 20 k xm. i like the color a lot. once burned in, it really is only a slight blue hue. makes everything stand out. i am on the hunt for a 6 gallon nano though to make a zoa and shroom tank, then my husbands 10 gallon stuff will be put into this tank with the sps. i don't have much sps left after the over heating i had from when i first got the lights though. so anyone have a 6 gallon nano cube for me :D
